Getting After It

Been a good week so far of training. Have started off with heavy elliptical and some sprint training while incorporating strength training as well. What the heck does that mean? Well here you go.

Monday 1 hour elliptical Starting incline level 10 resistance 1. On each minute that passes, increase resistance 1 increment til 10 and 10, then walk way back down to a resistance of 1. 1/2 Mile run on gym track after elliptical

Tuesday- 5-10 minute elliptical rounds. In between each 10 minute round of elliptical training Went through the Hoist Resistance circuit (Weight machines that incorporate body weight into the motion of the machine) 125 situps.

Wednesday- 6 10 minute elliptical rounds with 1 lap sprint in between (totalling just over 1/2 mile combined)

Thursday- The warrior mile (11 laps=mile) Did 12 laps total as such 2 laps fast pace - 25 push-ups 25 crunches, repeat until 12 laps completed.  10 Sets of 10 body weight dips(100). Finished with Elliptical 40 minutes.

Elliptical is my crutch so will be going to more running soon. Trying to incorporate elements of race conditions into training, hence breaking up the running with strength exercises.

Welcome Ohio Warriors!

This blog is dedicated to The Ohio Warrior Class Club. A group of adventurous like minded folk who enjoy a challenge (many of us middle aged and trying to recapture our youth (don't tell our wives)). We will discuss diet, training, and whatever crazy events we can find to get involved in here. The main goal of this group is to challenge, uplift, and promote the very best in each of us. Above all this is going to be a blast.

Our first insane event is going to be probably several warrior dash and/or spartan races. After that perhaps the team oriented tough mudder. Only time will tell. Want to join the club? Sound like fun? Our only requirements are a sense of humor, never taking yourself too seriously, and a willingness to push yourself to new personal bests. ...and remember our Warrior Class motto "If you aren't a Warrior, you've got no class"
